I rarely practice with on camera flash, I just find it waste of the flash unit and the battery that I put into it. In any case since I acquired a third party flash(Yonguo YN 600EX-RT), I'm forced to test and see how to play around with it.

Normally, the inside of the house is dark that you'd have to be at ISO1600 atleast to get a proper exposure without going at a lower shutter speed.  I'm not sure if I'm justifying my use of flash here but I think it gave an even light effect on the cats.
